I’m reading the delightfully prescient and soap-opera like Enuma Elish, and comparing it to Hesiod’s Theogony (making copious notes as I go).

I had thought that Tia-Mat was killed by her children, or rent to create the heavens and the earth, yet I’m finishing Tablet 1 and she remains alive and in one piece! Oh the excitement! Don’t spoil it for me, I can’t wait to get to Tablet 2!
