Can you identify this African bird?
An item made of horn is controversial, and I’ve had to think about what it all means. I inherited it from my Grandmother, who lived in Uganda, Kenya, Nairobi, among other places. I can say that this is an authentic hand-carved item, made in the forties, fifties or possibly early sixties, and I don’t think it was made purely for tourists.
