If you read folklore and mythology, any kind of myths, any kind of tall tales, running is always associated with freedom and vitality and youthfulness and eternal vigor. It’s only in our lifetime that running has become associated with fear and pain.

The joy of life consists in the exercise of one’s energies, continual growth, constant change, the enjoyment of every new experience. To stop means simply to die. The eternal mistake of mankind is to set up an attainable ideal.

I’ve been pondering the difference between “High Magick” and “Low Magick”

I usually hear that it is related to complexity of ritual or pursuit of enlightenment over mundane goals. This does not satisfy me, and I’m taking another angle.

Anyone have any thoughts/opinions on this?

Curious as well

Low magic is anything that works.

Would it be wrong to say that this (supposed) difference has been written about often? HM is ascension magick - working to improve one’s self / Self. LM is practical, tactical, everyday, and ‘what works’. In my praxis, HM and LM are combined, for dualistic thinking often leads to considering something as ‘better’ than something else.

The Electronomicon is a book of seven printed-circuit-board (PCB) talismans representing seven magical servitors corresponding to the seven non-octarine colors of Chaos magic. The talismans’ electrical conductivity allows them to act as switches in electronic systems (either passing a current or not), and also allows for novel forms of ritually “charging” them.
